One crew for the house, the hangar and the highway

The crew doing exterior cleaning on your home carries the same tickets and gear as the crew washing a mine site’s fleet, so the quality does not drop with the size of the job. It is why plenty of our customers call about one job and end up handing us the lot.

What can we help you with today?

Pick the one that sounds like you and we will point you straight to the right place.

Everything we clean, from rooftops to road trains

We clean roofs, walls, concrete, vehicles, machinery and whole worksites, and every job is done by our own crews using equipment we own rather than hire. Pick a service to see how we do it and what it costs.

  • Big jobs finish sooner.

A roof takes us around two hours, and a whole house, from the roof to the driveway, is done in a single day, so you get your home or site back sooner.

  • We bring everything we need.

Our machines run on their own engines, so there is no need for site power. We carry up to 4,000 litres of water and can draw from hydrants under permit, through our own water meter.

  • Two people on every job at height.

Both are ticketed for working at heights, because the safety of our crew and your property comes first. For commercial and government clients, that is one less risk sitting on their site.

  • Honest advice, even when it costs us the job.

If something does not need cleaning yet, or can go longer between cleans, we will tell you. And if another trade is the better fit, we will point you to them.

  • We stand behind the result.

Roof cleans come with a 12 month clean roof guarantee, weed and seed washdowns are guaranteed to pass inspection, and Katherine bond cleans come with a bond back guarantee.

  • Crews trained in-house.

We employ locals in full-time roles and train them through our own program, from trainee to leading hand, so the person on your job knows exactly what they are doing.

Clean it properly. Then keep it clean.

Plans that keep your place clean, without locking you in

Our two plans keep your place clean after the first visit, with no subscription, no direct debit and no cancellation fee. Living in the Top End, you already know what the wet season does to a roof, and a plan is the difference between managing that and paying for it twice. All prices below include GST.

RoofCare

A clean metal roof after a soft wash

An initial roof clean from $1,320, then a low-dose preventative treatment from $605 around every two years, keeping your roof clean for five to seven years. Your price is locked in when you are quoted, we contact you before each treatment, and nothing is charged until the work is done.

PropertyCare

A Territory home washed from the roof down

Your annual property refresh, sorted. We clean your gutters, solar panels, house and up to 100m² of concrete in one visit each year, from $1,485. Book those four jobs separately and they start at $1,930.50, so the plan saves you $445.50 because we only set up once.

How a job runs, from quote to clean

You tell us about the job, we quote it, you pick a date and our crew does the rest, whether it is a driveway or a depot.

Get your quote

If we can measure the job from satellite imagery, like most driveways and roofs, we can quote it without a visit. For bigger or trickier jobs, a look in person can sometimes get you a better deal.

Pick your date

Most jobs are booked within a week or two, depending on the season and where you are. If you have got a date in mind, we will do our best to make it.

Get the “on my way” text

On the day, you will get a text with a live tracking link, so you know when the crew will arrive.

We protect, then clean

We check the property first, cover plants and ponds, and keep your garden watered while we work.

We tidy up and show you the result

Once we are done, we clean up after ourselves and walk you through the finished job, with photos if you are not home.

Darwin, Katherine and everywhere between

We cover the whole Territory from two depots, one in Yarrawonga and one in Katherine East. Beyond Darwin, Palmerston, the rural area and the Big Rivers region, we travel border to border: as far south as Elliott, out to Wadeye and Borroloola, across to the WA border and over to the islands.

Jobs a long way off the beaten track

For remote communities, stations and islands, we will drive, fly or, if the job calls for it, sling equipment in by helicopter. On one job, we had 13 crew on site at Daly River within a week of the phone call.

Territory owned, Territory powered

From one truck to a Territory crew

Leighton Arnott sold his house to start Power Clean NT and grew it on reinvested cash, one niche at a time: exterior cleaning first, then machinery and fleets, then weed and seed.

“We have gone from one bloke, myself, in my little pressure cleaner truck to 30 staff and a fleet of 17 vehicles.”

What Leighton is proudest of is the local jobs he has created and the families those jobs support. “We are part of the community we work in. We walk down those streets every day. I have got four daughters, and they walk down those streets too. We want them to look around and go, oh, this is clean.”

Frequently asked questions

Thirty of the questions we get asked most, sorted so you are not scrolling past the ones that have nothing to do with you. Cannot find yours? Call us on (08) 7947 8586 or send an online enquiry and we will answer it.

Pick a topic
Is there a minimum charge?

Yes, our minimum charge is $302.50 including GST, which covers getting a crew and equipment out to you. If you have only got a small job, it is worth adding another while we are there, like cleaning the gutters or solar panels, so you get more out of the visit. You will find starting prices for our most popular jobs on our pricing page.

Do your prices include GST?

Yes. Every price on this site and on your quote includes GST, so the number we quote is the number you pay. You get a tax invoice with our ABN on it either way.

Is the quote fixed, or can it change on the day?

Fixed, in almost every case. We price off what we can see and measure, and that is what you pay. The only time we come back to you is if we find something nobody knew about, like a section of roof that turns out to be a different material, or a surface that has been sealed at some point. If that happens we stop, explain it and let you decide before we carry on.

Do you charge to come out and quote?

No. Most jobs we can price off satellite imagery and a few photos, so you often have a number back without anyone coming out at all. If a site does need a look in person, that is still free.

Is it cheaper to book a few jobs at once?

Usually. A fair chunk of any job is getting a crew, a truck and the water to you, and that only gets paid for once. It is the same reason PropertyCare is $1,485 for four jobs in one visit when booking those four separately starts at $1,930.50.

How do I pay?

By card, bank transfer or cash. For homes, we send the invoice once you are happy with the job, and you have seven days to pay. Commercial accounts work to agreed terms.

How far ahead should I book?

For a house or a roof, usually a week or two. Less in the quiet part of the year, more in the run up to the Wet, when everyone remembers their gutters at once. Commercial and remote work needs longer, because we are lining up crew, gear and travel around your site. If something is urgent, ring us on (08) 7947 8586 and we will tell you honestly what we can do.

Do I need to be home?

No. Plenty of our customers are at work while we are there. We need access to water and power and a way through any locked gates, and that is about it. When we are done we clean up after ourselves and send you photos of the finished job.

What do you need me to do before you arrive?

Not much. Shut the windows, move the cars off the driveway, bring in anything you would rather not get wet like cushions and pet bedding, and unlock the side gate. We cover the plants and keep the garden watered ourselves.

What happens if it rains?

We keep going through most of it. Rain does not stop an exterior clean, and in the Wet nothing would ever get done if it did. We will move you if there is lightning about, if the wind makes working at height unsafe, or if the job genuinely needs a dry surface. Either way you get a call, not a no show.

How long does a house and roof clean take?

Most homes are a day. A bigger place, a steep roof, or a job with a lot of gutter and solar work on top can run into a second. We will tell you which when we quote, so you can plan around it.

Will pressure washing wreck my roof?

It would, which is exactly why we do not pressure wash roofs. A roof gets a soft wash: low pressure, and a treatment that kills the mould and lichen at the root so the growth dies off instead of being blasted off. Blasting a roof strips the coating, drives water under the sheets and takes years off it.

Will your chemicals harm my garden, pets or pool?

No. Our roof and house wash is a mild mix of 0.5 to 1.5 per cent sodium hypochlorite, with specialist soaps doing most of the work. We cover your plants and keep the garden watered while we work, and a little chlorine will not hurt a pool that is already chlorinated. If you would rather, keep your pets inside until we are done.

How often does a roof need doing up here?

In the Top End, most roofs want a proper clean every two to three years, because the Wet gives mould and lichen everything they need. On a plan the timing is handled for you: RoofCare puts a low dose treatment on around every two years, which keeps a roof clean for five to seven.

Will a clean fix the mould, or does it come straight back?

A proper clean kills what is there rather than knocking it off, so it does not turn up again next month. It will come back eventually, because this is the Top End and the spores are in the air everywhere. How fast depends on shade, trees and which way the place faces. That is the whole reason the plans exist.

Can you clean solar panels without causing a warranty problem?

Yes. Panels are done with deionised water and no detergent, at low pressure, from the ground with a water fed pole wherever we can reach. Nothing abrasive touches the glass and nothing is left behind to dry as a film, which is what most manufacturers ask for. More on solar panel cleaning.

Do you do roof restoration or roof painting?

No, we clean roofs rather than restore or paint them. A proper clean often shows the roof did not need restoring at all, and if it does, we will refer you to local painters we trust.

Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown?

Yes, by arrangement. For commercial and industrial sites, we can work around your operating hours and shutdown windows so your site keeps running.

Are you set up for site inductions and prequalification?

Yes. We carry our own insurances, our operators hold their own tickets, and we are used to inductions, permits and contractor prequalification systems. Certificates of currency and operator qualifications can go across before we mobilise, so procurement is not the thing holding the job up.

Can you wash our fleet on our yard, or does it have to come to you?

Either. Our units carry their own water and power, so a fleet can be washed where it sits, overnight or between shifts. If it suits you better to send vehicles to us, talk to us about bringing them into the depot. More on fleet washing.

Do you do ongoing contracts, or only one off jobs?

Both. A lot of our commercial work runs to a schedule, monthly, quarterly or around a shutdown calendar, so a site never gets to the point where it needs rescuing. One off jobs are just as welcome. See commercial cleaning contracts.

Do you clean water tanks?

Yes, depending on the tank. It is specialist work, so give us a call on (08) 7947 8586 or send an online enquiry, and we will talk you through what is involved and what it costs.

What is a weed and seed washdown, and when do I need one?

It is a certified clean of machinery so it does not carry weed seed, soil or plant material from one place to the next. You normally need one before plant moves onto a gas field, a mine, a station, the islands or across into Western Australia. Whoever runs the receiving site will tell you the standard they want, and that is the standard we work to. More on weed and seed washdown.

How long does a washdown and inspection take?

It depends on the machine and how dirty it is. A small piece of plant can be done in an hour or two. A large tracked machine packed with soil takes most of a day, because the undercarriage is where the seed hides and that is the part that has to come up properly clean.

What paperwork do I get at the end of it?

A washdown certificate identifying the machine, what was done, who inspected it and when. That is the document the gate wants to see. We photograph the machine as part of the inspection, so if it is ever questioned there is a record behind the certificate.

Do you come to the machine, or does it come to you?

Both, and it usually comes down to where the machine is and what the receiving site requires. We wash down on our own pads and we take units out to sites and stations. The thing worth sorting first is which standard you are being held to, because that decides everything else.

Do you offer internal cleaning in Darwin?

No. Our cleaning services in Darwin are exterior only, so we do not offer bond, end of lease or office cleaning there. Katherine is different. Our crew there cleans inside and out, including bond cleans, offices and homes.

Which suburbs and towns do you cover?

Darwin and the northern suburbs, Palmerston and the newer estates, the rural area out through Humpty Doo and Berry Springs, the industrial areas at Berrimah, Winnellie and East Arm, then Katherine and the Big Rivers region, and the communities and stations beyond them. If you are not sure whether you are in range, ring us. The answer is usually yes.

Do you charge extra to travel?

Not inside Darwin, Palmerston and the rural area. Beyond that, travel is priced into the quote rather than added to it afterwards, so you see one number. For remote work we will often line your job up with something else heading the same way, which brings the cost down for everyone on it.

How remote will you actually go?

Border to border. As far south as Elliott, out to Wadeye and Borroloola, across to the Western Australian border and over to the islands. For jobs off the road network we drive, fly, barge or, if that is what the job takes, sling gear in by helicopter. On one Daly River job we had 13 crew on site within a week of the phone call.
